This is not manufactured stone. It is real quarried stone, cut to an average 1 inch thickness — which is the whole point. Traditional full bed building stone runs 3–5 inches and 35–45 lbs per square foot, demanding a foundation footing, wall ties and engineered support before a single stone goes up. At roughly 7–15 lbs per square foot, thin veneer fixes directly to masonry, concrete, or a properly prepared framed wall. Same stone. Same face. None of the structural bill.

Rustic, irregular, European.
Larger irregular shapes inspired by European castles, chateaux and historic farmsteads. Bold pieces with natural or snapped edges, laid to a loose pattern. The profile to choose when you want a wall that looks like it has always been there — weight and presence rather than neat lines.
Tight horizontal courses. Modern.
Thin strips stacked in tight horizontal courses with varied heights — typically 1–4″ high and 6–14″ long. Ledgestone shows the end grain of the stone rather than the face, which gives it that layered, textured, linear look. The most-specified veneer profile worldwide right now, and the one that reads most contemporary. Dry-stack or lay with a joint.
Ordered, architectural, timeless.
Rectangular and square pieces laid to a linear pattern, split-faced for texture. Ashlar mixes longer rectilinear pieces broken up periodically by taller blocks — an ordered architectural look that feels dressed up while still reading natural. Pieces typically range 3–10″. The broadest profile in terms of application.
Irregular shapes. Puzzle-fit.
Irregular shapes — triangles through polygons — that fit together like a puzzle, with natural edges and minimal splitting or sawing. Also called irregular, webwall or crazy. Face area typically 0.25–1.25 sq ft. No two stones alike, so no two walls alike: the pattern is genuinely impossible to duplicate. The most rustic of the four.

Thin veneer is far more forgiving than full bed, but it is not foolproof. Four things that matter.
The substrate does the work. At 7–15 lbs per square foot there is no foundation footing to pour — but the wall behind still has to be sound. Onto masonry or concrete, veneer bonds directly. Onto a framed wall, you need the proper build-up: weather-resistant barrier, metal lath, then a scratch coat. Skipping the lath is the single most common failure, and it does not show up until a season or two later.
Mix your crates, always. Natural stone varies by definition. Open every crate before you start and draw evenly from all of them as you lay. Working through one crate at a time will cluster the tones and read as patchy — this matters most on Mosaic and Castle Stone, where the piece sizes vary as much as the colours.
Dry-stack or mortar joint — decide before you order. Ledgestone can be dry-stacked for an all-stone face with no visible mortar, which reads modern and is highly desirable in contemporary schemes. Mortar joints are more forgiving of an uneven substrate and give a traditional look. The choice changes the quantity you need, so tell us at quoting stage.
Order corners and caps with the field stone. Purpose-made corner units create a clean 90° return without exposing the 1″ edge — nothing gives a veneer job away faster than a visible thin edge on an outside corner. Sills and wall caps finish the top and base. Order them at the same time so they come from the same batch and match.

Care & Maintenance
Stone veneer is about as low-maintenance as cladding gets. Brush down occasionally and rinse with clean water. In damp or shaded spots, an annual wash keeps organic growth from establishing in the joints — the textured profiles catch more debris than a flat wall does.
Avoid acidic cleaners, and avoid high-pressure washing, which drives water behind the stone and can damage pointing. A soft brush and pH-neutral detergent handles anything that needs shifting. Timeless durability is the point of this product — it is perfect for high-traffic areas, both indoors and outdoors, and asks very little in return.
An average of 1 inch across all four profiles. That is what keeps the weight to roughly 7–15 lbs per square foot, which is why no foundation footing is needed — unlike full bed building stone at 3–5 inches and 35–45 lbs per square foot. We supply thin veneer only.
Castle Stone is large irregular pieces for a rustic European look. Ledgestone is thin strips in tight horizontal courses (1–4″ high, 6–14″ long), showing the end grain — the most modern and most specified. Splitface Ashlar is rectangular and square pieces (roughly 3–10″) in an ordered linear pattern. Mosaic, or Random Crazy, is irregular puzzle-fit shapes with a face area of 0.25–1.25 sq ft — the most rustic.
Match it to scale and style. Smaller profiles like Ledgestone suit detail-oriented, compact or indoor spaces — fireplaces, columns, outdoor kitchens. Larger profiles like Castle Stone and Mosaic work better across broad surfaces and large-scale architecture. Splitface Ashlar is the most versatile and works at either scale. If you want contemporary, Ledgestone dry-stacked. If you want old-world, Mosaic or Castle Stone.
