Indian Limestone · Quarry-Direct Since 1996

Smoother than sandstone, just as timeless.

Non-porous, dense, and naturally consistent — quarried across Rajasthan and Andhra Pradesh in blue, grey, yellow, brown and black. The refined alternative to riven paving.

Five Colourways, One Family

Indian Limestone varieties

Limestone comes from two belts of India — the Kota/Tandur region in the north and Kurnool in the south. Colours look similar in photos but read very differently in person; we recommend samples before ordering at scale.

Kota Blue Limestone
Best Seller
Kota Blue
A hardworking blue-grey with occasional green tones and white lining flakes. The benchmark limestone paving colour.
Kurnool Grey Limestone
Non-Porous
Kurnool Grey
Also called Andhra Grey or Dove Grey. Slate-grey with lenient tonal variation, non-porous and ideal for indoor floors.
Tandur Yellow Limestone
Warm Tone
Tandur Yellow
Honey to pale-yellow tones from the Telangana quarries. A rustic, warm alternative for patios and interiors alike.
Kota Black Limestone
Premium
Kota Black
Also known as Kadappa. Deep black-grey dolomite limestone with a soft riven surface — frost-resistant and non-slip.
Kota Brown Limestone
Riven
Kota Brown
Also called Kota Yellow. Greenish-yellow-brown shades, popular for flooring, cladding, and slip-resistant paving.
Tandur Grey Limestone
Riven
Tandur Grey
The northern-belt pairing to Kota Blue — similar cool grey tones with its own quarry character and grain.

About the Stone

Limestone paving has been laid across gardens, pavements, and public squares for as long as sandstone — but it behaves differently underfoot and under tool. Where Indian sandstone typically splits into a textured, riven surface, limestone slabs come out smoother and less pronounced, closer in character to European limestone paving than to riven sandstone.

It's genuinely difficult to source large limestone paving slabs in India, which is part of why quality control matters so much — every slab we ship has been checked for consistency before it leaves our units. Limestone is also naturally non-porous, so it resists staining well and needs less maintenance than more porous stones, whether it's laid outdoors as paving or indoors as flooring.

We export limestone paving worldwide, including to Australia, the United Kingdom, Belgium, the United States, and across Africa — all quarry-direct from our own units in Kota, with no agents in between.
